Faust is a German Krautrock band that formed in Hamburg in 1970, with members from two earlier bands: Nukleus (founded by Péron, Sosna and Wüsthoff) and Campylognatus Citelli (with Diermaier, Irmler and Meifert). In may 2005, a new version of Faust was formed, this time with Diermaier, Péron, Amaury Cambuzat and Olivier Manchion (from the band Ulan Bator). The band debuted in autumn at the Art-Errorist Avantgarde Festival in Schiphorst and has since toured successfully around the world. The current formation has release several live and studio recordings. |
